Selection and storage


To select: Choose strawberries with a bright, consistent colour and secure green caps.  Strawberries do not ripen further once picked, so avoid pale, dull or green tinged fruit.

To store: They’re highly perishable – so they should be eaten within a couple of days of purchase. Don’t wash them until just before eating.

To eat: Remember, they are most flavoursome if served at room temperature.
