Costa Group has released its 2025 Sustainability Report, highlighting key actions across renewable energy, water efficiency, sustainable packaging and community.
The report outlines key achievements during 2025, including lower Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions in Australian operations, recycling and reuse solutions, major water savings at Costa’s Walkamin banana pack shed, and 568,613 kilograms of fresh produce donated to Foodbank Australia, equivalent to more than one million meals.
CEO Marc Werner said the report reflected Costa’s focus on combining innovation, operational performance and responsible growth.
“Our 2025 Sustainability Report demonstrates the practical steps we are taking across our operations to reduce environmental impact, improve resource efficiency and support our people and communities,” Mr Werner said.
“From renewable energy and water management to sustainable packaging and food donations, we are focused on making measurable progress while continuing to supply fresh, healthy produce to consumers in Australia and around the world.”
Looking ahead, Costa will continue to advance its sustainability agenda through a newly established Sustainability Working Group and a set of Board-approved sustainability KPIs, with a focus on renewable energy, efficient and sustainable water use, sustainable packaging, waste reduction, ethical sourcing and community activity.
